About Bo Jackson
Bo Jackson is known as one of the greatest athletes of all time. Throughout his career, he was a two-sport standout in both football and baseball, playing in the National Football League for four years and in Major League Baseball for eight years. Bo is the only athlete to be named All Star in both MLB (1989) and NFL (1990).
In 1985, after leading the Auburn Tigers with over 1,700 yards and 17 touchdowns, Bo was awarded the Heisman Trophy, given to college football’s most outstanding player. He gained international notoriety through his “Bo Knows” Nike campaign.
After his retirement from professional sports, Bo has successfully run several businesses over the last three decades including:
- Launching a number of food brands supplying the beef and seafood industry.
- Through his brand: Promise Nutraceuticals, Bo released a line of CBD products called Hero Brand CBD.
Each year, Bo hosts an annual charity bicycle ride: Bo Bikes Bama, which raises money for the Governor’s Emergency Relief Fund. Proceeds provide crucial disaster preparedness and emergency management resources for the state of Alabama. He leads participants on either a 22 or 62 mile route, including a trip through Auburn’s campus. Since 2011, Bo has raised over $2 million to aid tornado victims.
