Customer Service Representative
The Paperny Family JCC is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual able to work as part of our dynamic team. The JCC is a multi-faceted organization that serves a variety of Calgarians from young kids, to families as well as the elderly. We offer several different programs from physical activity to social and cultural. We are looking for a part-time Customer Service Representative to work at the customer service desk, the hub of the JCC.
Summary
The Customer Service Representative reports to the Membership Manager and provides support to all members, guests, and staff. This role requires a strong customer service ethic, sensitivity to a diverse clientele, and the ability to multi-task, work independently, and collaborate as part of a team. As the first point of contact in emergencies, customer service staff must remain calm under pressure and coordinate appropriate actions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet individuals in a friendly courteous manner.
- Ensure all members and public have completed the check-in procedure.
- Provide excellent customer service to patrons and staff by responding to both in-person and telephone inquiries, requests and complaints.
- Ensure emergency procedures are understood and followed.
- Process new memberships and renewals.
- Promote memberships and programs to patrons.
- Enroll members and guests into programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Membership Manager.
- Be prepared to work a flexible schedule.
Qualifications
- At least two years customer service experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient computer and administrative skills.
- Current criminal record check and vulnerable sector search.
- Current CPR and first aid certifications.
- Experience with Intelligenz software and asset.
Job Type and Schedule
- Part-time 10 to 15 hour per week.
- Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts as needed.
- Weekdays and weekends as needed.
Salary and Benefits
- $16.00 to $17.50 per hour.
