About Jenn Brodsky

Jenn was born and raised in Calgary, where her family has deep ties to the Jewish community. She started working at the JCC in June of 1997 as a camp counselor, when her parents encouraged her to get a part-time job to pay for a portion of her March of the Living trip. In September of that same year, she started working for Karen at the café a few evenings a week, enjoying the hustle of working both jobs through high school. Jenn continued working for Karen part-time over the next several years during her post secondary pursuits afterwhich she took on a full-time role at the café. Over the past 20-plus years, she has spent most of her days at the JCC in one capacity or another as camp counselor, teaching children’s cooking classes, working at the café, and volunteering at a casino, the annual JCC Sports Dinner or Shabbat dinner. Jenn also sits on the board of the Calgary Jewish Family Loan Association as vice president, and spends her spare time making pottery.
