Part-time Early Morning Maintenance/Janitorial
We are looking for an experienced maintenance/janitorial person to join our team.  This is a junior position supervised by the Maintenance Supervisor. You take direction well but are not afraid to offer suggestions or take initiative. You work well alone but enjoy team work as well.  You are friendly but focused, able to multi-task, and pay attention to detail and safety.  “Mr. Clean” is your idol.

Job Summary:  Your role is to open the JCC at 5:00 am to ensure we are ready for members at 5:30am. You set up for morning programs and activities as required. You will be responsible for facility upkeep and janitorial work – sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing. You will clean locker rooms and common areas, as well as general building cleaning.

Schedule:   This shift is from Monday to Friday, 5:00am to 8:30am. 


  • Grade 12 education preferred.
  • One to three years’ experience in a similar setting.
  • Knowledge and use of tools and cleaning supplies.
  • WHMIS training is an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Police and Vulnerable Sector Search will be required.

Child Care Staff
We are looking for a team player who is energetic, creative and outgoing, and who has childcare experience. This position requires familiarity with Emergent Curriculum programming and accreditation standards, as well as Alberta licensing and health regulations. This individual must have an Alberta Child Development Assistant, Child Development Worker or Child Development Supervisor certificate, current First Aid and CPR certificate, a police clearance and vulnerable sector search not more than six months old, and be fluent in English — reading, writing and speaking. Shifts may vary according to the needs of the daycare, so flexibility is required. Familiarity with Jewish culture and values is an asset. Aqua Exercise Specialty Leader
The JCC is currently seeking an Aqua Exercise Specialty Leader to conduct safe, challenging and fun-filled aqua classes which meet the needs of a wide range of fitness levels. This individual will demonstrate strong customer service, have a positive attitude, project a positive image of good health and fitness and demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of our diverse clientele.
