Wonder Purim

Sunday, February 25 | 4:00 - 5:30pm

The Calgary JCC, in collaboration with the Calgary Opera Emerging Artists’ Program, presents Wonder Purim: a night of opera and art with Nofar Yocobi, Israeli Soprano and Mel Kirby on Piano. Come enjoy an art exhibit by Betzalel Arts followed by an Opera performance and meet the musical and visual artists in our lobby with refreshments.

International Women’s Day _ Yom Haisha
Sunday, March 4 | 11:30am - 1:30pm

Join us at the Calgary JCC for an afternoon of speakers, lunch, and vendors. Enjoy inspirational presentations focused on empowerment, wellness, and self-care. Leadership and Growth Coach Ruth Esau and Massage Therapist/Yoga Trainer Stefani Wilton will motivate and provide practical tools for personal growth.

Community Klezmer Band
Explore the world of Jewish music? Do you want to know the difference between a Bulgar, a Zok and a Terkisher? Want to learn to play some of the vast and deep klezmer repertoire? Come join clarinetist/conductor Frank Rackow to explore the exciting world of klezmer and related Jewish music. All instruments, ages and levels of experience are welcome. Concert and presentations will be scheduled around the city. Rehearsals: Mondays, 7:00-8:30pm. RSVP to email. 


Betzalel Arts
Jewish artists working together to support, encourage, and develop artistic professionalism and growth. Professional and emerging photographers are also welcome to join this group.
